1 giugno 1967: esce in Inghilterra "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" dei Beatles

Messo in commercio giovedì 1 giugno 1967, è fra i più famosi della storia del rock e uno dei primi concept album della musica pop. Sgt. Pepper occupa la prima posizione nella lista dei 500 migliori album di tutti i tempi pubblicata dalla rivista Rolling Stone. Secondo una stima delle vendite dei dischi musicali riportata dalla stampa, Sgt. Pepper ha totalizzato più di 32 milioni di copie vendute. L'album vinse un Grammy Award nel 1968 come miglior album dell'anno.
